The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified academics to apply for a faculty position as Assistant Professor in Product Design. The ideal candidate should possess a terminal Master’s degree or a PhD in industrial design/product design from an accredited institution, a strong professional experience in industrial/product design, and will have taught at the university level for at least five years. Applicants must submit a solid portfolio of their students’ work as well a teaching philosophy/statement.
He or she must demonstrate experience in collaboration and success in teamwork, and willingness to work across other areas and departments of the school and university. International candidates with backgrounds in trans-disciplinary and multicultural practice and research are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research/creative production profile, together with a commitment to teaching and service in the form of administration and committee participation.
